診斷學(xué)

前言

教育部教高[2001]4號(hào)文件中明確指出要按照“教育面向現(xiàn)代化、面向世界、面向未來”的要求，為適應(yīng)經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化和科技革命的挑戰(zhàn)，本科教育要?jiǎng)?chuàng)造條件使用英語進(jìn)行公共課和專業(yè)課教學(xué)。同時(shí)，推行“雙語教學(xué)”必將促進(jìn)教學(xué)改革、師資隊(duì)伍建設(shè)、學(xué)科發(fā)展和本科生的能力培養(yǎng)。然而，缺乏與“雙語教學(xué)”相適應(yīng)的教材是開展“雙語教學(xué)”的“瓶頸”之一。關(guān)于“雙語教學(xué)”教材可有幾種形式：①直接采用原版教材，優(yōu)點(diǎn)是語言上有優(yōu)勢(shì)，并能充分吸取歐美國(guó)家“診斷學(xué)”教學(xué)的先進(jìn)理念；缺點(diǎn)是學(xué)生負(fù)擔(dān)太重，而且原版教材編寫體例與我國(guó)現(xiàn)有的規(guī)劃教材差距很大，如西方國(guó)家沒有與我國(guó)“診斷學(xué)”相對(duì)應(yīng)的教材，“診斷學(xué)”教材中的“實(shí)驗(yàn)診斷”、“器械檢查”、“臨床常用診斷技術(shù)”等部分均未納入國(guó)外的“Physical examination”之中，而且體例相差很大：原版教材篇幅較大，實(shí)用性較差。②將中文版“診斷學(xué)”規(guī)劃教材翻譯成英文，優(yōu)點(diǎn)是能與現(xiàn)有的教材匹配，學(xué)生的負(fù)擔(dān)不大，尤其目前在醫(yī)學(xué)生的英語應(yīng)用能力較差的情況下，有助于與中文教材對(duì)照學(xué)習(xí)；何況我國(guó)“診斷學(xué)”教材經(jīng)多次修訂，科學(xué)性和實(shí)用性強(qiáng)的優(yōu)點(diǎn)很突出；價(jià)格明顯低于原版教材，在學(xué)生經(jīng)濟(jì)能力有限的情況下，該教材有助于推廣“雙語教學(xué)”的進(jìn)程；缺點(diǎn)是難以保證英文質(zhì)量。③綜合上述兩種形式的優(yōu)點(diǎn)，采用我國(guó)“診斷學(xué)”規(guī)劃教材的體例，參照原版教材的表述方式，采取購(gòu)買版權(quán)、整段摘用的形式，編寫成“英文改編版”，融人較多的國(guó)外先進(jìn)的教學(xué)思想，如交流技巧，形成具有中國(guó)特色的“雙語教學(xué)”教材。本教材采用了第三種方式，以期成為具有鮮明特點(diǎn)的供醫(yī)學(xué)本科生使用的“診斷學(xué)”英文版教材。為此，科學(xué)出版社與McGraw-Hill出版公司經(jīng)過友好協(xié)商，達(dá)成合作協(xié)議，以尊重知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)為前提，摘錄McGraw-Hill公司出版的原版教材或?qū)Ｖ?，包括教材中的圖，編寫成適合中國(guó)醫(yī)學(xué)教育所需的英文改編版系列教材。
