診斷學

前言

教育部教高[2001]4號文件中明確指出要按照“教育面向現(xiàn)代化、面向世界、面向未來”的要求，為適應(yīng)經(jīng)濟全球化和科技革命的挑戰(zhàn)，本科教育要創(chuàng)造條件使用英語進行公共課和專業(yè)課教學。同時，推行“雙語教學”必將促進教學改革、師資隊伍建設(shè)、學科發(fā)展和本科生的能力培養(yǎng)。然而，缺乏與“雙語教學”相適應(yīng)的教材是開展“雙語教學”的“瓶頸”之一。關(guān)于“雙語教學”教材可有幾種形式：①直接采用原版教材，優(yōu)點是語言上有優(yōu)勢，并能充分吸取歐美國家“診斷學”教學的先進理念；缺點是學生負擔太重，而且原版教材編寫體例與我國現(xiàn)有的規(guī)劃教材差距很大，如西方國家沒有與我國“診斷學”相對應(yīng)的教材，“診斷學”教材中的“實驗診斷”、“器械檢查”、“臨床常用診斷技術(shù)”等部分均未納入國外的“Physical examination”之中，而且體例相差很大：原版教材篇幅較大，實用性較差。②將中文版“診斷學”規(guī)劃教材翻譯成英文，優(yōu)點是能與現(xiàn)有的教材匹配，學生的負擔不大，尤其目前在醫(yī)學生的英語應(yīng)用能力較差的情況下，有助于與中文教材對照學習；何況我國“診斷學”教材經(jīng)多次修訂，科學性和實用性強的優(yōu)點很突出；價格明顯低于原版教材，在學生經(jīng)濟能力有限的情況下，該教材有助于推廣“雙語教學”的進程；缺點是難以保證英文質(zhì)量。③綜合上述兩種形式的優(yōu)點，采用我國“診斷學”規(guī)劃教材的體例，參照原版教材的表述方式，采取購買版權(quán)、整段摘用的形式，編寫成“英文改編版”，融人較多的國外先進的教學思想，如交流技巧，形成具有中國特色的“雙語教學”教材。本教材采用了第三種方式，以期成為具有鮮明特點的供醫(yī)學本科生使用的“診斷學”英文版教材。為此，科學出版社與McGraw-Hill出版公司經(jīng)過友好協(xié)商，達成合作協(xié)議，以尊重知識產(chǎn)權(quán)為前提，摘錄McGraw-Hill公司出版的原版教材或?qū)Ｖ?，包括教材中的圖，編寫成適合中國醫(yī)學教育所需的英文改編版系列教材。
